Dr Markus LACORN

Dr. Markus Lacorn is an expert in gluten and allergen analysis. He studied Food Chemistry at the University of Hamburg (Germany), finished his PhD study in 1999 and went to the University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart, Germany) for his post-doc studies in animal physiology with special emphasis on development of immunoassays. In 2008, Lacorn took the responsibility as head of development for ELISA test kits for the food & feed sector at R-Biopharm (Darmstadt, Germany). This sector covers gluten, food allergens, mycotoxins, vitamins, and enzymatic analysis. In 2013, he focused on management of internal and external validation of R-Biopharm’s test kits which includes AOAC OMA and PTM approvals especially for gluten, allergens, and enzymatic analysis. He is member/delegate of ISO TC 34 SC16, CEN TC 275 WG 7 and WG 12, the AOAC Official Methods Board, the ICC Technical Committee, the ISSCD Gluten Challenges, Safety and Standards Committee and ICC delegate at CCMAS.
